The Bureau for Public Health is committed to empowering West Virginians to live their healthiest lives through programs that cover the lifespan from newborn care to death certificates and from drinking water to emergency medical services. The dedicated public servants who work in the nine offices and two centers, work day in and day out to assure and advance safety and health for the people of our great state. Health Statistics Center
Registers, maintains, and corrects all vital events that occur in the state including birth, death, marriage, divorce, fetal death, and induced termination of pregnancy (ITOP) and all related records.
